Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Today you have hit the mother load of blog posts I Have joined in with Bloglovin to expand my blog Follow me on BlogLovin , included is a tutorial, a gift exchange and a round up coordinated by my sweet friend +Michele Alger
Now on to the elf gift exchange which, gave bloggers an chance to learn more about each other, and share holiday spirit. I was lucky to become +Ali Williams  Elf. Thank you Ali for coordinating a bunch of creative bloggers to assemble gifts before Christmas. No easy task I can assure you. We Creative creatures tend to drift here or there especially at this time of year.
Ali Williams is the creator of Skinny gf  Chef please visit her to grab a few healthy recipes.
I chose to make her a card as well as a gift card. Shhhh she hasn't received it yet.
I started with doing a bit of stalking on her blog, FB, IG to find out what she liked. Creepy I know but it was for a good cause.
Merry Brite Photo Ornament, D&LP Designs, Elf Gift Exchange bonds Bloggers

First I found this ornament at our local Drug store. Which inspired me to make a keepsake with a card hidden inside.

The stalker in me (LOL) Found this Christmas Tree picture on the header of her Facebook. The little boy in the sled is a template for the ornament. I edited the photo on +PicMonkey (free edit program on line), then print and cut it to fit.

This was a free print and cut from a blog. If it was yours please message me in the comments. I would like to give you the proper credit.
Personalized Christmas Ornament using pictures and Silhouette Cameo
Next to add the special touch just for her I found her blog name design,  and created her name in vinyl with my +Silhouette America. I will be including another Silhouette tutorial on how I created her logo and attached it to the ornament on this blog later. Click here to see another one of my blogs showing this technique.
Are you asking yourself, "where is the card," yet? I put a special Christmas note on the back of one of the pictures included in the ornament.  The Christmas Cheer is not visible from outside, but open the ornament and you will see the note on the back of the Christmas Tree! Included with her ornament and note is a +Starbucks Coffee gift card.
Please follow along below to get even more inspiration from the Round-up. I am blessed to work alongside so many creative, supportive, and kind people.
