The Gift Giver is written by Jacob Haslem and Nick Allen. The illustrations done by Elissa Weaver are to be treasured for years to come.
What is this book all about? This book is featured on Christmas night. An evening all of our children take great interest in along with the anticipation of the coming morning. We teach our children about the birth of Christ on Christmas Day but, the hustle and bustle of the holidays may overshadow our lessons to the children and quite frankly adults by the time December 25th is here.

This candle flickers in the book as one of Elissa Weaver's stunning illustrations. The story written by Jacob Haslem and Nick Allen has touched my heart. These wonderful authors are friends who collaborated a book together. The words weave into sentences of the thoughts of a young child about Jesus Birthday, Santa, and gift giving during this most blessed time. I do not know Jacob, Nick or Elissa. Yet I feel like they all know me. Why? Because when Santa comes down the chimney at our house he brings three gifts. One for each of the Three Kings who brought Jesus gifts on the day of his birth. A friend had told me that Santa did the same at their house. The tradition still stands as our sons are now grown young men.
Learning a little more about me will explain why I chose to review, The Gift Giver. My college Degree is in Early Childhood Education. I know my blog is about DIY, design, and building but, it all stems from being a young wife who started a home for her family. This teacher, momma, auntie, and school volunteer has read countless books to children.
When you buy this book you will be reading it for generations to come. This book is bound to become a classic Christmas story in your home as it already has a special place in mine. During the Christmas season, there is a small rocking chair stacked with Christmas story books left to read. It makes a lovely vignette and as we all know things that we can see are used more often. Look for a shot of the rocking chair on my Instagram on Friday. ( Click Link Here) If you are not already following me please do. That way I can keep up on your Social Media too.
