Midwest DIY Blogger Round-Up Reservations

Friday, August 7, 2015

I asked if we could blend the Randolph Street Market with DIY bloggers to create a place for bloggers to meet in the Midwest. This area of the country is an untapped resource for bloggers to network, learn and let their talents shine. Planning this event was no small task but, well worth the effort to provide a platform for the Midwest bloggers, companies, and of course, one of the top ten markets in the country.
The Randolph Street Market Make Your Reservation Here along with a special rate at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel which has received numerous features in magazine, fabulous reviews and is absolutely a stunning restored piece of Chicago's skyline.
Thank you to the Randolph Street Market, Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, Hometalk and Blitsy for your generous sponsorships supporting the First Midwest DIY Blogger Roundup. Without their support to create this venue for us to network this event would not be possible. Please remember to show them your appreciation

This creative vendor has created a traveling showroom of her items for sale.
Yes! A life-size statue of a horse in the back of a truck. Proving you can find everything at the RSM. This fascinating jewelry on display is related to American history. This woman and I have a historical connection. Her ancestor made boots for Buffalo Bill Cody. I am related to William Cody through my mother's family. Small world!
You will also find antiques, vintage, industrial, and new inventive Indie Designs too. There are 8 acres of treasure hunting to shop. Included in the market is live music, food, beverages, children's tent, and a DJ.

That is just what goes on each month, but for the DIY bloggers attending the event there is even more. Gina Luker The Shabby Creek Cottage is coming all the way from Tennessee to be our Keynote Speaker touching on two different
aspects of blogging each day while we are treated to breakfast each morning.
Six amazing Midwest DIY Bloggers are traveling from different states to create DIY demonstrations for you. Three each day all new projects for each demo. Where are they coming from and who are they?
In no particular order. Here are the amazing people who believed in this idea and jumped on board to the First Midwest DIY Blogger Roundup!
Karen Marie Kedzuch of Dragonfly & Lily Pads
Founder & Hostess of the MDBR from Illinois
Karin Chudy of Art is Beauty from Michigan,
Melody Smith of My Passion For Decor from Illinois
Leanne Lee of Diva Of DIY from Missouri
Jessica Cramer of Designer Sweet Spot from Wisconsin
Jennifer Rizzo of Making Your Own Home from Illinois
Author of Creatively Christmas will also be signing her book.
Yes! Your entry into the event is free. Pretty awesome right?
In the spirit of the blogger community, the Randolph Street Market will be donating to the foundation Heidi Swapp has chosen to honor her son Cory. You will also be given a temporary tattoo of a semicolon which is used to make a pause in a sentence. It has become a symbol to remind those who struggle to find love for themselves, feel alone, or can not fight against their thoughts to see the semicolon as a reminder. They are loved, reach out for help, you are not alone.
Each of these talented, creative bloggers took a chance on the thought we need to connect with each other right here in the Midwest. I personally thank you all for believing in the spirit of the blogging world. Each one of these kind individuals did this for us, not me, or themselves. I am honored to be among such a giving, creative collection of people.
